The CYGNUS project was successfully kicked-off online on June 22, 2023. During the meeting, the consortium, consisting of UBITECH Ltd, ACCELIGENCE Ltd and ISTOGNOSIS Ltd, discussed an overview of the project, shared ideas and expertise, created the project roadmap and coordinated the tasks to be implemented in the following months.
CYGNUS aims to develop a self-managing software platform that puts the human-in-the-loop within the decision-making process. This platform will provide sovereign capability for civilian applications and leverage the full potential of Causal AI, IoT/Edge Computing, Distributed, and Big Data Processing technologies to establish accelerated AI automation with advanced autonomy, learning, and agency characteristics. The vision of CYGNUS is to develop a bouquet of big data and AI services that put the human-in-the-loop to sense, harvest, harmonize, and aggregate, sensor data, train AI models to detect entities and patterns, and reduce the analysis load performed by human operators through scalable big data processing methods and Explainable AI (XAI).
